Couple reads vows during Guanella Pass vow renewal

guanella pass vow renewal | shelby + stephen

This past August, I got to meet up with Shelby and Stephen in the most stunning location -- Guanella Pass -- which is right outside of Georgetown, Colorado. We drove the long, winding road up to the top, and once we parked our cars, we couldn't believe the stunning mist that was grazing the mountains. It was about 20 degrees colder up there, but I made sure that these two kept each other warm! We had the whole place to ourselves, and we had a blast chatting, listening to music, exploring, and even popping open some champagne to celebrate their vow renewal to one another. Guanella Pass is such a stunning spot and we were grateful to have the entire area to ourselves to explore and to take photos. It felt super calm and it was very quiet up there which made it more intimate. This would definitely be an awesome spot to elope or take engagement photos at as well (but would recommend a weekday as the weekends get busy here).

A vow renewal is a great excuse to reread or rewrite your vows and recite them to each other. It’s so lovely to see couples reconnect and continue to celebrate their love (because it shouldn’t stop after your wedding day!). And who doesn’t want more photos? Especially because on a wedding day, things can move quickly and you might not always have a ton of time to get all the bridal images you may want! You can dress up in your old wedding attire, or, go more casual and fun with a cool bridal jumpsuit, mini wedding dress, etc. Have a good time getting creative with your outfits because this is a session all for you.

Think Guanella Pass would be the perfect place to elope for you and your partner? Let's chat!
