Believe it or not, in-home couples sessions are some of my favorite sessions to shoot! This kind of couples session gives me such an honest peek inside your lives. With an in-home couples session, you get to show off your home (or a cute AirBnB or studio), get comfy, feel relaxed in your own space, and make the session YOU. Do you two love sitting on the couch watching Netflix? Baking cookies in your kitchen? Sharing a cup of coffee? Listening to records? These are all fun ways to add your personality into your images. I never tell my couples to make their homes pristine before I come because that’s not real life. It’s important to document the different seasons of your life in an authentic, true way. Which means your house isn’t going to be perfectly cleaned or organized, and that’s okay. I want the messy truth. I’m a firm believer that a subject’s energy influences the final images, so the more relaxed and “at-home” you feel, the better!

It’s always a great honor to be invited into my clients space to document where they feel most themselves. If you have pets, you can feel relaxed knowing that they’ll just run around your home and not away from us if we were at a local park. They can do their thing and join in the photos if they are up for it. If a couple is traveling or their house doesn’t have adequate lighting, I always recommend booking an AirBnb or a studio. With these options, there’s no clean-up and we get to choose the location so we’ll know there will be good lighting. There are endless options when it comes to in home couples sessions and I’m happy to help you make it happen!
