Meet Soph
I'm a Michigan-born, Denver-based photographer who first picked up a camera because I wanted a creative way to connect with the world. Turns out, I’m hopelessly sentimental and passionate about capturing life & love for the nostalgic. Being trusted to document people’s most cherished moments with the people they love most is one of the greatest honors I could ever imagine, and I haven't looked back since.
A little about me: I went to school for photojournalism and creative advertising. I believe small talk is overrated. I have a tattoo of a camera on my shutter finger, lilacs on my arm, and Gilmore Girls on in the background more often than I'd like to admit. As your photographer, I’m all about honestly documenting the moment. I'm here to tell your story — not the curated version, the real one.
For me, photography is all about connecting with people & being curious about all the messy, imperfect, and little things that make us human.
I believe everyone has a unique story worthy of documentation. As a photographerm, I’m observant and intentional, but never distant. I guide when needed, and step back when the moment deserves space.
When you work with me you can expect a photographer who genuinely wants to know you, & to feel comfortable, relaxed, and human. You can expect both film + digital imagery with a nostalgic, soulful feel. I don’t overbook myself because I care deeply about giving each story the attention it deserves.
I’m not here to direct every moment, but I’m here to help you stay present while preserving the moments you’ll ache to remember someday.
